Avon Points League Rules

1. A separate Avon League Trophy is awarded annually to the highest scoring Dog and Handler partnership in each height category – Small Dogs, Medium Dogs and Large Dogs

2. Participation in the Avon League is open to all Handlers in the Club.

3. Points are awarded to Dog and Handler partnerships

4. Points are awarded for winning places and unplaced clear runs achieved in competition between 01 November and 31 October each year.

5. Only Competitions held under Kennel Club or British Agility Association licence are eligible.

6. Points are awarded for standard jumping and agility classes only.

7. Each Handler is responsible for submitting results in writing within one month of the competition. The handler can use any written format including email, but not text messages. Results will only be accepted from the handler, or their nominee.

8. Each result must include the following information:

10. Show Name, e.g. Prestwick

11. Date

12. Class, e.g. Jumping, Agility

13. Grade, e.g. Open, Starters, Novice

14. Result, e.g. 1st, 15th, C

15. Forms such as that shown below are available for submitting results.

28. All results for the year must be submitted by 15 November.

29. The Handler is responsible for checking the accuracy of their scores.

30. The League Table will be held on the Website.

31. The result tables will be available from the Club training night notice board

32. Points are awarded using the scale shown below. Note: Clear runs must be free of both course and time faults.
